Infographic pre production

We start the creating process by doing pre production. This is looking at colour schemes, fonts and any other features I may need.

After finishing looking into data and information about any university courses, apprenticeships, further courses and work that could benefit me and would suit what I want to do, I tested what websites and layouts could make my information look good and can benefit the viewer. I gained feedback on my designs and thought about what could make my designs better and what websites would be the best to use.

I decided to take this draft layout onwards as the feedback was good and I felt like I saw potential with my design and how it could be changed. I also though it was a good way to represent information which is a mix of numerical values as well as words.

I started off by creating a colour scheme that I wanted to use. I wanted to use a range of warm and neutral colours. I liked having a range of nude type of colours and also pinky - red colours.

I created this by adding squares/rectangles and selecting colours off custom. I made some shades lighter and some shades darker.

Next, I created a font sheet with the different fonts I liked. I really liked "railroad gothic cc" as I thought it was very nice to look at and would be good to use for titles and headers.

After creating this pre production, I can begin creating my infographic design.
