Prezi presentation

This is the link to our shared prezi presentation. I focused on lighting, Theo focused on sound, Tilly focused on digital cameras and John focused on visual effects.

Whilst creating our Interactive Museum Presentation I encounoutered a few issues in the process. One of these issues would be that I was unsure what to actually create in my pre proposal presentation. I had not used lighting in a production before so when filming my video for lighting I was also learning about it myself. The only prior knowledge to lighting that I had was doing lighting research (https://charlotte2006lr.wixsite.com/charlotte-arnold-yea/post/lighting-research) from my own blog post. When creating my video, again I was unsure so ended up filming twice. I then did a voice over so often time in my video the dialogue does not match up with the visuals. This could have been fixed by me recording sound whilst watching the video so it planned out correctly.

Another problem I faced was working with after effects to creat motion graphics. After Effects was another softwear I had never used before and did find very confusing. I created 2 motion graphics, one showing a title and another showing a logo. This was tough as I was unaware of where things went, what looked the best and how overall how to use effects. I often found myself deleting an retrying my motion graphics.

A final issue I had was using Prezi itself. Prezi was difficult again because it was new to me and was something I had not created before. The problem I found with prezi was that i could not add my "shapes" or offcuts as a slide itself. For example, if a viewer or visitor was tapping through the prezi presentaton they could tap the arrow and the slides would move in an order however mine were npt in the correct order as well as some not being fetured. This isn't an issue if people scroll and move around but is if people tap through the slides.

I belive my interactive media museum is effective as it describes, shows and explains something in a more interesting digital way. I think that my presentation on lighting was specifically effective as it showed real world examples of how lighting is used in films (discussing the work of Wes Anderson) as well as a brief historical summary (with dates and context) a video and a quiz.

I think that my video was effective as it was short so could maintain the attention of visitors. If videos are too long visitors amy loose interest quickly. My video is short and snappy and covers teqniques that are used, how lighting can effects the audience and how it is created. Again this is beneficial to viewers as they can take this away with them. The quiz is effective as it reflects on the information that was given in the video. All of the questions had been answered in the video so perhaps if audience knew the answers to the question they would also find the questions fun as they knew the answers.

Overall I think there is a number of things that I would change about my video, presentation and prezi but this can be reflected on and changed fror next time.
