My personal top 10 strengths:
Punctual - I would say that I show up on time to school, work and events majority of the time. I always like to be prepared and have options if something goes wrong. When I have been late its often out of my control, such as trains running late or traffic.
Creative - I like to put effort into my work to make it stand out and be different, I try to think outside of the box and come up with new ideas.
Comedy - I often use humour to soften situations and gain trust from others. In lots of situations I believe that if you know someone is funny they could cheer you up when your feeling down. I like the fact people could turn to me if they felt sad.
Resilient - I always try to keep at trying something and not giving up when things get difficult. For example I have just started driving fairly recently and when something throws my confidence it is quite difficult to try again but I just have to keep on trying.
High aspirations - I would say that I have quiet high aspirations for my future and am aiming for greatness.
Listening - I use listening skills every single day. I use listening at college and also at work. I do waitressing part time and have to listen to what customers want and if they have any feedback.
Problem Solving - In life sometimes things don't go exactly to plan and you have to work around that. For example, if a train gets cancelled if I have enough time to get the one beforehand I will do that or wait for the next one and if I am short on time get a bus or uber.
Talking to lots of different people/communication - I would say that one of my strongest skills would be that I can talk to lots of different people and can do so confidently even if I have just met them. This has been proven since going to college as I have made lots of new friends.
Team player - I enjoy working in a team and sharing tasks with others. I think this is also good as you can bounce ideas off of each other and come up with new and different things.
Organized - I would say I am quite organised towards things, for example having work in on time, showing up on time, knowing what's going on in different situations.
My personal top 10 weaknesses:
Loose focus easily - One of my biggest weaknesses is that I do struggle with my focus. I loose focus quite easily and have to find moments of productivity to finish anything that needs doing.
Lack motivation - As mentioned I loose focus quite easily and have to use productive moments to get lots done.
Argumentative - Part of my strengths would be that I am a good communicator and can talk to anyone.
Sarcastic - Sarcasm could be a weakness as it could lead to people finding me rude.
Bossy - One of my strengths would be that I like things to be organised so if I know there are certain things that need to be done I will take control of the situation.
Impatient - One of my worst habits would be that I am impatient. I don't like to wait for things or start something and stop doing it.
Lack empathy - I find it quite difficult to be compassionate and empathetic as I struggle to comfort people.
Less temperament - I tend to get frustrated when things don't happen the way I would like them to or when people don't listen to my views or opinions.
Over talkative - whilst one of my strengths is that I find it easy to talk to anyone, I might talk too much in some situations and with certain people I may have known for a long time or have an instant connection with.
Complain too much - As mentioned, I like to be organised and when things don't go to plan I struggle to remain with a positive aspect on things.
Soft and hard skills are another way of looking into how I work and what goes into the skills I have.
Soft skills:
My soft skills range from teamwork, listening skills, good time management and being a team player. These are soft skills as they are not exactly technical they are more involved with the mind and personality. I am good at teamwork when working (at my job) and when working in groups at school. I would say that when working in teams I listen to everyone's ideas and try to be accommodating to these ideas.
Hard skills:
My hard skills are more technical than my soft skills. I would say that whilst taking media I have learnt how to use adobe suite software. For example, I now know how to use software such as premier pro and photoshop. At first this was quite difficult as the system was completely new to me and I had not used anything like it yet. This is beneficial to me as it opens more doors to potential job opportunities. Another practical hard skill would be customer satisfaction. When customers have issues I need to find the best solution to either fix it for them or compensate them, however I cannot just issue out "free drinks" or a discount whenever somethings wrong as we will loose profit. It is a hard skill as I have to think about many different features and aspects of the situation.
